I've got to start with some quick disclaimers here. First, the steps in this how-to guide are not easy. If you are a customer of ours, we will do this for you. You do not have to struggle with this. Let us know and we'll set you up. Second, this how-to guide applies to our customers or those who are using DotNetNuke websites. If that is you, proceed.
- Create and edit your video.
- Upload it to your YouTube account.
- Grab the url to your new video.
- Go to your website and decide where you want the video to be placed.
- Log in to your site as the administrator.
- At the top of the page, choose 'Add a new module'.
- Pick "SVS YouTube Viewer" from the list of modules.
- Give it a simple name
- Set the visibility to be "Same as Page"
- Choose which pane you want to put it in. (This will determine its location on the page).
- Click "Add module to Page". You should now see your YouTube Viewer.
- Click the dropdown on the left side of the YouTube Viewer and choose "Settings"
- In the URL box, type or paste in the url where your YouTube video can be found.
- Put in the width and height. It is best to choose one of these options: 340x285, 445x364, 500x405, or 660x525.
- Choose your background colors. Get close to your site's colors.
- Choose show border or not.
- Click the Update button at the bottom.
If you have problems with this, feel free to give us a call or email. We'd love to help you with this.
